Description

This is a very vigorous deciduous climber that prefers light shade.  It flowers from July to October bearing large honey scented, tubular, creamy-white flowers, streaked dark-red.  It prefers rich moist, but well drained soil.   This climber is excellent for covering large areas, though it requires strong support, it can grow up a tree, over walls, fences, or pergolas. er fences.  After flowering cut back a third of flowering shoots, or to maintain its size and shape.  It is great for pollinators and the berries provide winter food for birds.  In spring apply a general fertiliser and a mulch around the base of the plant.
